Allies are volunteers from all walks of life that have attended a six hour Bridges Out of Poverty training session presented by Circles Coordinator, Gayle Montgomery. Circle Allies work directly with a Circle Leader and their family to assist them in accomplishing their plan of change.

The Circle Ally has three primary goals:

  1. Make intentional friendship with the family in poverty and join them in their quest for money, meaning and friends
  2. Increase awareness of one's own stereotypes and class rules
  3. Use experience of friendship to advocate within the community for changes in the systemic barriers that keep poverty in place
